TSC Invites Applications for Over 46k Positions in Primary and Secondary Schools

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced the recruitment of teachers for primary, junior secondary, and secondary schools. How to apply for TSC jobs TSC recruitment guidelines Other career opportunities for Kenyans + View more According to an advert placed on MyGov, TSC said there are 6,000 positions for primary schools, 39,550 positions for junior schools, and 450 positions for secondary schools.  Who can apply for TSC jobs? To be eligible for the positions, applicants must meet several key criteria: Be a Kenyan citizen.

 Hold a minimum of a P1 certificate in the case of primary school applicants, or a diploma in education for junior and secondary school applicants. Be registered with the TSC. Notably, serving interns are also eligible to apply and will be required to present their identity cards during the verification process. How to apply for TSC jobs Interested candidates are required to submit their applications online via the TSC website, www.tsc.go.ke, under the ‘Careers’ section. The application deadline is October 7, 2024, at midnight. Candidates are encouraged to apply through the official platform to avoid disqualification. Further details on vacancies based on specific counties, sub-counties, and schools can also be found on the TSC website.

 Applicants are advised to only submit one application form as multiple submissions will lead to disqualification. TSC recruitment guidelines The recruitment will follow the TSC’s 2024/2025 Financial Year Guidelines. Candidates shortlisted for interviews must present original academic and professional certificates. Successful applicants will be posted to various counties, sub-counties, or workstations, depending on the identified needs. The TSC emphasised its commitment to being an equal opportunity employer, encouraging all qualified individuals, including persons with disabilities (PWDs), to apply. 

The TSC has cautioned applicants that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and has warned against fraudsters who may try to exploit unsuspecting individuals by asking for payments to secure positions. Any fraudulent activity should be reported immediately to the nearest police station or the TSC headquarters via the provided TSC communication channels below.
