Rapper, Stevo Simple Boy and his new signee Machabe have threatened to cancel their performance and refund the deposit after a Saudi promoter sent economy class tickets instead of business class.

They also added that the promoter hasn’t specified the hotel where they will stay, raising concerns about potentially being homeless in a foreign country.

“We were expected to travel tomorrow but not everything is OK, We had requested they send us business class tickets but they sent us economy class tickets. They have already not clarified where we would be staying. We had the deposit but if they do not communicate we will return the deposit as we can’t eat anyone’s money.” Explained Machabe

Machabe went on to add they developed cold feet after the people signed a deal different from what they agreed.

“Everything is intact but we can’t go since they have not confirmed, we are not comfortable, and our agreement is not what they sent. Thank you very much for supporting us.”

He secured a rare opportunity to travel to Saudi Arabia for a major show, thanks to his recent catchphrase.

Speaking on the Hangout show on K24 TV, Stevo revealed that he is currently preparing for the trip to the Arab nation to entertain his fans.

Stevo mentioned that the phrase “mefi mefi muskla,” which he recently coined, is what has led to this success. He also shared that this will be his first-ever trip abroad, and he can’t wait for the day to arrive.

The artist said that his unique slang, hairstyle changes, and fashion sense are some of the things that make him stand out, not just in Kenya but also internationally.

“Why do I always change my hairstyle, clothing, and also slang? You know I’m not just an artist in Kenya, but in the entire East Africa. Now I want to spread my wings further and go international,” Stevo explained.

“So, ‘mefi mefi muskla’ is an Arabic phrase. When I said it, do you know what happened? Luck just came my way. Next month, I’m going to Saudi Arabia just for saying ‘mefi mefi muskla.’ On September 23rd, I’ll be performing in Riyadh. ‘Mefi mefi muskla’ means no problem, everything is cool,” Stevo further clarified.
