A 23-year-old cancer survivor tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident at the KB-KC block in Salt Lake. A wrecked motorbike after a past accident (Photo for illustration). The incident happened in Shantinagar. Debojit Roy, who had recently been discharged from the hospital after undergoing treatment for bone marrow cancer, had been socialising with friends on Friday, August 9, until 8pm. Despite their concerns and pleas for him to stay, Roy insisted on attending to duties in Salt Lake, as reported by the Times of India. How did accident that killed Roy happened? As he left, Roy encountered a couple of stray dogs on the road. Attempting to avoid them, he lost control of his motorcycle, resulting in a severe crash. According to the reports, he knocked one dog that perished on the spot. The accident caused critical head injuries, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The incident occurred in the Shantinagar area, near Sukantanagar.
