Businessman Reuben Yegon, who was abducted three months ago, has been reunited with his family. Nairobi: Joy as Businessman Abducted 3 Months Ago is Released Back to His Family The emotional reunion comes after an agonizing period of uncertainty and frantic search efforts. When did Yegon disappear? Yegon vanished on Sunday, May 5, shortly after returning home from a business trip abroad. CCTV footage captured the chilling moment when he was kidnapped from Amazon Mall in Kileleshwa.  He was taken away a day after his friend and business partner, Paul Kipkemei Korir, had also been abducted from a joint in Ngong town. The family endured untold anguish during the months of his disappearance and even offered a cash reward of KSh 500,000. How was Yegon released? Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Detective Jane Mugoh, who has been handling the case, disclosed that Yegon and Korir were dumped on Mombasa Road at night. She attributed their safe return to the pressure she and Yegon’s family put on the suspected kidnapper. Detective Mugoh says the perpetrator is a woman from Murang’a named Salome but operating through aliases. “I spoke to Yegon at around 3 am just after they had been released. They look a bit weak, but they are okay,” she explained. What Yegon’s return means to the family The return of Yegon brings back smiles to the family, which had endured three painstaking months.  Is Buried Their joy is palpable as the breadwinner’s return has lifted them from the limbo of uncertainty, providing hope and relief. A family member who spoke anonymously disclosed that they are planning a welcome party to thank God for his safe return. Details surrounding the abduction of Korir and Yegon, however, remain scanty.
