Nick Odhiambo explains resurfaced explicit texts days after his wedding

Hot 96 presenter has spoken on social media allegations surrounding a screenshot of a past text conversation.

Odhiambo, who recently got married, clarified that the screenshot originated from an old group chat that was intended as a joke.

He explained that the circulating photo caused numerous calls to his phone, prompting him to speak out.

"You're saying a man can't stay happily married for more than 24 hours? Who hurt you... That trending pic is from 10 years ago. And a cropped screenshot. I was wondering why people are calling my number and hanging up all day today," he stated on Monday on his X page.

He then went on to link an article that was posted on Kenyans.co.ke in August 2018 that debunked the screenshots as a hoax.

In the article, the reports claiming that Nick Odhiambo, then a presenter on Classic 105 FM, caught his partner cheating were found to be false.

Nick's initial reaction to an explicit photo shared in the group chat by someone named 'Byron' had fueled the rumours.

When Byron posted the image, Odhiambo responded, "Byron where did you get this pic… that’s my wife."

However, subsequent texts clarified the misunderstanding.

While Odhiambo was initially surprised, he later admitted he didn't recognize the woman in the picture, indicating it was all in jest.

Additionally, the woman in the photo bore no resemblance to Odhiambo's wife, further debunking the rumour.

Despite the clarification, Twitter users seized the opportunity to mock the radio host, dredging up past controversies and creating memes.
