Major George Benson Magondu will be laid to rest today in Kieni constituency, Nyeri county. Magondu died in the April 18 chopper crash that claimed the lives of 10 KDF officials. Major George Magondu was happily married to Captain Brenda Okello and were blessed with three kids.  Magondu, the pilot of the ill-fated chopper that crashed in Kaben at the border of Marakwet and West Pokot counties, has been described as a great, ambitious family man despite his young age. George Magondu was a romantic husband The 29-year-old pilot was happily married to a fellow military officer, Captain Brenda Okello.  The lovebirds lived life to the fullest and after Magondu's death, Brenda has been sharing photos and videos of the family while reminiscing about the good times they had shared together. 2. George Magondu the loving father The couple was blessed with three handsome boys: Liam Wallace Magondu Kabue, aged six, Ryan Walter Kabue and Neil William Kabue, both aged four. In one of Brenda's videos on TikTok, Magondu and their kids enjoyed playful moments in their cosy sitting room as she recorded them. In most of the videos shared by the heartbroken widow, the young pilot spent most of his time with his family at their home.  After his death, Magondu's mother-in-law, Maureen Akinyi, said his children, grappling with the loss of their father, kept asking for him since the tragic incident. 3. Magondu's perfect family Magondu and Brenda's young family is a great example of a perfect family. The lovebirds worked in the same profession, and despite their busy schedules, they always created time for family. Magondu was a great family man and supported his wife's baby shop business named after their firstborn son, Liam. Customers who interacted with Magondu at the shop described him as a humble, loving and supportive partner. 4. George Magondu's wife steps in as family's head Photos of Brenda with her three children attending a mass prayer for the fallen soldiers, which was held on April 25, went viral. She donned a black dress, and her kids stuck by her side in the photos. Her kids donned matching suits and, at one point, escorted their mum to the podium.  5. Magondu the ambitious and generous gentleman The pilot of the ill-fated chopper was eulogised as a selfless and humble man whose generosity extended to the entire neighbourhood. Magondu's mother, Mary Wambui, said the pilot's aspirations were high; he not only piloted the CDF but also transported senior government officials. After completing Form Four at the Moi Forces Academy, he studied at Kenyatta University, South Africa, Moi Airbase, and the United States. Netizens have been condoling with Brenda since her husband's demise.
