Motorists in Nairobi have been urged to follow traffic rules and be cautious on the roads to curb the rising number of accidents witnessed.
This follows an increase in cases of accidents along major highways.
On Tuesday morning, an accident involving three vehicles happened along Uhuru Highway, causing a traffic snarl-up.
Another accident happened along Murang’a road after the driver lost control of the vehicle before overturning.
In a separate incident, a trailer was involved in an accident at Sabaki along Mombasa road.
Police officers have decried a lack of adherence to traffic rules and regulations as a major contributing factor.
“We arrest drivers for flouting traffic rules. This has been a common occurrence on the major highways,” police said.
Further, they called on other road users to report cases of careless driving to the nearest police station for action.
