What actions will the government take against school heads? According to the head of state, it is immoral for schools to harass poor parents when the government has already released KSh 62 billion for capitation. “We released KSh 62 billion in January to educate our learners. But even after this development, there are school heads telling parents to pay school fees because the government has not released money for schools,” Ruto said. The president said heads of the institution should not take advantage of the vulnerability of the parents by demanding more money, including for Junior Secondary School (JSS) students. He warned that his administration would take disciplinary action against any school manager who sends students home for school fees. p[q1`”We know the importance of education and we want all our children to go school. Managers of institutions should stop taking advantage of the vulnerability of our people to force parents pay school fees on the pretext that the government has not released money,” he added.
