Willy Paul is a happy man after he got recognition from Ghana when his song was played at a local royal wedding.

Through his official Threads page, the 'Umeme' crooner expressed his happiness for the recognition noting that God keeps fighting for him despite people fighting against him.

"Royal wedding in Ghana 👌 👏. They keep fighting me but god keeps fighting for me 🙏 royal Ghana wedding… I feel so disrespected whenever I'm compared to these Kenyan clowns 🤡. More international music coming your way fam," he wrote.

The musician expressed his annoyance when people compare him to other Kenyan musicians calling them 'clowns'.

The royal ceremony was playing Willy Paul's hit song with Jamaican artiste Alaine.

Willy Paul criticizes gospel industry

This comes in the wake of Willy Paul addressing the hate he got as a gospel artiste compelling him to quit and pursue secular music.

Through his Instagram account, Willy Paul expressed his relief at no longer being part of the gospel music scene and hinted that things are about to heat up, without specifying further.

"Kenyan Gospel is a dirty game, big scam! Thank God I'm not part of it. It's about to get hot," he stated.   BY K24 NEWS
