Reason CS Bore moved out of Sh120 million Karen home at night

Florence Bore, cabinet secretary for labor, has provided an explanation for why she was required to leave MP Edward Muriu's home at night.

Speaking on Thursday, Bore explained that it was due of the late shift she had that particular day.

She said that after getting her deposit back, she started looking for another house, and within an hour, she had found a new place to live.

The CS referred to the local commotion as "a blessing in disguise" while describing it.

"He gave me the refund of the 10 percent deposit and I moved out. There was a question that I moved out at night. It is because during the day I was working and I actually worked until around 9 pm. When I came home, I saw he had already released the deposit into my account," Bore said.

"I'm happy my children are happy and I wish him (Muriu) well."

Bore claimed that she had fulfilled her end of their initial agreement regarding the lack of a contract for the sale of the house.

She did not use force, the CS continued, and the issue might have been resolved amicably.

"I signed my part, maybe he had not signed his part but I had already done what he wanted and the 10 percent he wanted. And it was not something big, we should have discussed it. If he had gotten another buyer I had no issue and I didn't use any force," Bore said.

Over whose ownership of the Sh120 million house was rightful, Bore and Muriu had been engaged in a dispute.

The CS said that they made a deal with the property owner and settled on a price.

She claimed that Muriu Mungai & Company (MMC Asafo), acting on behalf of the vendor, acknowledged receipt of the completed purchase agreement by having her attorneys stamp the forwarding letter.

According to Bore, Muriu agreed to let her occupy the home while she looked for a mortgage facility for the remaining amount, which she ostensibly anticipated to find within the 90-day transaction term.

The claimed property manager of the aforementioned mansion, Amara Manco Villa, allegedly gave the CS a 24-hour notice to leave the residence on Tuesday.
