Amber Ray reminisces on how bullying almost made her quit school

Kenyan socialite Amber Ray has revealed she almost quit school due to constant bullying.

The mother of one says her Primary school days were a disaster yet no one seemed to understand her.

Sharing her experience on her YouTube Channel, Ray said;

"There was a boy who liked me back in Primary. Unknown to me other girls also liked him.

"They used to bully me by asking me to walk around. We used to study at Kahawa Garrison while the girls were from Kahawa Primary.

"They would wait I wished I quit school but O couldn't tell my parents. My parents thought I was hard-headed.

Sometimes I would use a longer route just to avoid those girls. I hope wherever they are they are suffering like they made me suffer," Amber stated.

Ray says she was also bullied in high school.

"I was bullied by teachers and the head teacher because I was the only student from Nairobi. My dad had told the school to never send me away home because of the lack of school fees.

"So the Principal kept reporting me over different issues. He was interested in me romantically and it made me hate school. Dad was strict and he would never That is why I ran away for 2 months and went hiding at a friend's place," she explained.

Ray says it was hard telling her dad what was happening to her as he was strict.

"Back then the teacher would accuse me of hanging out with boys yet I was not interested in them. That is why I did my exams outside the school. My dad used to side with the teachers."

How did Ray end up doing her KCSE while living outside the school compound?

"We were sitting somewhere when another woman asked what the problem was. We told her what was happening and she offered to house me for the entire month I was doing my KCSE. I thank God for her. I hope one day our paths cross again," Ms Ray remarked.   BY MPASHO NEWS
