Ruto goes after Kameme, Inooro presenters over alleged hate remarks
Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate William Ruto has called out Inooro and Kameme FM presenters for what he termed as propagating hate.
Speaking on Thursday, Ruto claimed that the two, Njenga Mungai and Joseph Kiuna have been spreading narratives of violence.
He said the two should be made to answer to incitement charges.
"Let me also say that this plan is being propagated by certain media houses. Kameme and Inooro FM and more specifically Njenga Mungai and Joseph Kiuna. They are running narratives around violence and around conflict," Ruto said.
"These people should be made to answer to what they are doing, the law is very clear on incitement."
Ruto also called out Azimio la Umoja allied leaders for allegedly spreading an edited video of his speech in Eldoret just to incite the people.
He called out the National Cohesion and Integration Commission and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations for not taking any action.
"NCIC has never made any statement, the DCI has never taken any action and these are not simple statements. That is why we call on every Kenyan and the international community to look at the issue from their proper perspective." BY THE STAR
