Don't just pray for good leaders, vote wisely, Kenyans told
A man of the collar has come out to urge Christians to go out in large numbers and vote instead of just praying for leaders in the upcoming General Elections.
Bishop Harrison K. Ng'anga of the Christian Foundation Fellowship Ministry condemned Christians who stand by the fence complaining about leaders that they wanted but at the same time did not cast their votes.
Speaking during a National Peace Prayer Service at Kasarani Stadium, he urged Christians to rise up early in the morning and go to their respective polling stations and cast their votes.
"Kenyans will have already lined up to cast their votes as early as 5 am, ahead of the opening of the ballots at 6 am,'' he said
Ng'anga called on Christians to make informed choices on their preferred candidate having been led by the Holy Spirit.
"I would like to urge Christians not to elect their leaders with their mouths. Please go to the polling station and vote for your preferred candidates," he urged.
According to him, Christians on most occasions do not exercise their democratic rights, only for them to claim that they are praying for ' good leaders'.
At the same time, he encouraged believers to accept the outcome of the election and not to indulge in any activities that may compromise the peace of our Nation in the event their candidate of choice is not elected to office.
"Whether Kenya Kwanza or Azimo la Umoja candidate will win elections, that will be the will of God, accept and move on although I know it will be hard for some of us,'' he added. BY THE STAR
