Waihiga Mwaura on Citizen TV News last night hosted Eko Dydda as his guest via a phone call. His aim was to find out how he is faring on under forced quarantine at KMTC.
From what we have seen on social media, a few people who were under quarantine at KMTC managed to escape and according to the Ministry Of Health, around 50 people have escaped.
Waihiga asked Eko Dydda about it and he said,
We have been moved from KMTC back to the stations where we were taken from. I am currently at Kilimani police station.
He was then asked if that night he would have changed anything like buy the medicines online or go earlier than 5 pm. Eko Dydda responded saying it was not planned because he normally gets the meds around home but this time he was forced to go all the way to the CBD.

“If I would go back in time I don’t know what I would do differently probably I would have walked home. Things happen and you can’t plan for that. I hadn’t planned for my wife to have an attack that time” He said
Before the interview went any further, a voice in the background told him to surrender the phone immediately.
“Eko dydda leta hiyo simu!” A voice shouted
Remember the wife had mentioned in her statement that the policemen at Kilmani Police Station had said he will pay the price of being stubborn. Could this be it?
We are still not sure who commanded him to surrender the phone, but we do hope he is okay. We will fill you in on the details as they emerge.
