Bodies of 2 Matungulu minors who drowned in puddle found

Police in Matungulu, Machakos County have retrieved bodies of two primary school pupils who drowned while fetching water on Saturday in a pool at Milili Village .

On Sunday, Matungulu OCPD Samuel Mukuusi said Samuel Nyamai ,10, a Class Six Pupil at Nzambani Primary School and Benjamin Wambua,12, a pupil at Milili Primary School, had gone to collect water the water pool in the afternoon when one slipped and fell. The other boy died trying to save his friend, Mr Mukuusi said. 

The OCPD urged parents to closely monitor their children and avoid sending them to fetch water unaccompanied by adults.

The bodies of the minors have been taken to Ol-Donyo Sabuk Funeral Home
