“Lower Back Pain is No Joke”: Akothee Rushed to Hospital After In-Flight Health Scare

Kenyan music superstar Akothee has opened up about a recent health scare that took her from the plane straight to a hospital bed.

In a candid Instagram post, the hitmaker revealed that what began as lower back pain mid-flight quickly escalated into a serious issue.
By the time she reached the hotel, she could no longer walk and had to be assisted in a wheelchair.
“Lower back pain is no joke! 😭😭😭 I couldn’t lift my left leg… that pain was unbearable,” Akothee wrote, capturing the severity of the moment.
The post quickly went viral, with fans rallying to send prayers and advice as the star shared her vulnerable moment.

Pain That Escalated Quickly

Akothee explained that standing most of the time on the plane put pressure on her spinal cord, leaving her incapacitated upon landing.
“I walked to the reception of the hotel to ask for assistance and ended up in a wheelchair. No wonder I was standing most of the time on the plane,” she said.
