The announcement was made through a post shared on her Instagram account, where she directly addressed the election timeline and questioned whether the country should embrace new leadership in 2027 or wait until 2032.
In the same message, she urged citizens to reflect on voter participation ahead of the polls. “2027 iko sawa ama tungoje 2032? Na umechukua kura?”

Four-Point Manifesto

Her priorities include:
- Transparency and accountability
- Women’s economic empowerment
- Youth empowerment
- Representation and voice in leadership
“Transparency and accountability must be the foundation of leadership.”
Focus on Women and Youth
On women’s economic empowerment, Millicent highlighted the need to support women financially, particularly those involved in informal and small-scale businesses. She linked economic stability to improved household welfare.
Youth empowerment was also listed as a core focus area. She noted that young people face challenges related to unemployment and limited access to opportunities, and said leadership must actively include them in decision-making spaces.
“Youth empowerment is not optional. Young people must be part of leadership.”

Representation in Leadership
Millicent said her leadership approach would prioritise representation and amplifying public voices. She stated that many citizens feel disconnected from elected leaders and pledged to act as a bridge between communities and institutions.
No official statistics were cited in her announcement.
Election Context
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is expected to issue official guidelines, nomination requirements, and timelines for candidates ahead of the 2027 General Election.
