Jobless Kenyan Graduate Suspects Mum’s Cryptic WhatsApp Status Is an Indirect Message to Her

A jobless Kenyan lady has amused netizens after sharing a snippet of her mum’s WhatsApp status, which was a subtle jibe aimed at her for overstaying her welcome after graduation. The young lady shared how her mum sent her an indirect message.  The young woman, who was amused and concerned in equal measure, shared that her mum’s WhatsApp status was a video about how parents should not let their young adults idle around at home. In the funny post, the young lady shared the video on her mum’s WhatsApp, adding that she was convinced it was an indirect message from her mum. The speaker in the posted video said: “They finished college, and they have come back to live in your home, eating your food, and they do not know its price. They even sleep longer than you do. I was in Kisii the other day, and I asked the youths why they were at their parents’ house, yet they have IDs.”

Her mum also shared her thoughts on her status, insisting that those aged 18 and above should move out. “This is correct. If you are above 18, move out of your parents’ home,” the lady’s mum captioned the clip. The jobless lady said she was aware that the status was her mum’s indirect way of telling her to move out. She pleaded for connections to any job opportunity, so that she could finally leave home and start over afresh.
