Citizen TV anchor Jeff Koinange has finally addressed growing concerns about his whereabouts after months of public absence.

His first direct confirmation came through a WhatsApp message to media personality Xtian Dela, where he responded, “Bro Bro Bro I’m ALIVE and KICKING.”

This was the earliest assurance from the veteran broadcaster since he disappeared from television in August, sparking widespread speculation across social media platforms.

Jeff Koinange’s Absence

Koinange, widely associated with JKL Live and Sunday Live, had not posted regularly on his social channels either.

His last update on Facebook and X was on October 25,, 2025, while his last Instagram post appeared on October 24 during an online Cowboys-themed event. The prolonged silence triggered continued public concern.

Fans Flood His Pages With Questions and Messages of Concern

One user wrote, “Hi Jeff. Please break the silence and tell us that you are well. Info is power.”
This was a direct appeal for communication from the anchor, with the user emphasising that confirming his wellbeing would ease public anxiety.

Another added, “Dear Jeff Koinange… speak, we need to hear you. We miss your voice legend.”

A third follower posted, “We’ve missed you on television… Hope you’re doing well.”

Another wrote, “We miss you Jeff. You abandoned us out of nowhere. I know you’re strong and you’re gonna come back to us no matter what is going on.”

Despite the WhatsApp assurance, some fans continued seeking further proof, with one remarking, “Atume voice note hata.”

Xtian Dela isn’t the first close friend to Koinange who have updated his fans about his whereabouts.

Few weeks ago, a more conclusive update emerged when radio host and close friend Maina Kageni posted a TikTok video on October 28.

In the footage, Koinange appeared walking and conversing with Maina, looking relaxed and in good spirits.

Maina captioned the video, “Jeff is doing great and will be back on our screens very soon,” ending weeks of speculation and offering the first public sighting of the anchor in months.

For many Kenyans, the video served as confirmation that Koinange was well, easing fears that had spread across online platforms.

The reassurance marked the clearest indication yet that the journalist is expected to return to television soon.
