Terence Creative Opens Up on Addiction Struggles and Wife’s Support

Kenyan comedian Terence Creative has opened up about his difficult past, revealing how his wife Milly Chebby stood by him during his years of addiction and chain smoking.

The entertainer, widely loved for his skits and humor, used a candid Instagram post to reflect on the challenges he once faced and the pivotal role Milly played in his transformation.

In the post, Terence shared an old photograph of himself taken during his addiction, highlighting the toll it had taken on him.

He recalled how Milly, then his girlfriend, supported him with patience and understanding rather than abandoning him.

“This is how I used to look when I was an addict and chain smoker. My then girlfriend, now my wife, always took me to the club nikunywe bia zangu mbili alafu twende nyumbani. I thank her for her support, and this serves as a reminder that your decisions determine your destiny,” he wrote.

A Marriage Under Scrutiny

Terence and Milly’s marriage has often been the subject of public speculation, with critics at times questioning its durability. Last year , the comedian addressed people who seemed to wish doom upon their union.

Sharing a collage of photos with Milly, he declared: “God is in this, we work it out, we don’t walk out, no one is leaving, we are living together. SPEAK A BLESSING TO MARRIAGES. #MarriageWorks #MileleNaWe #NdoaYaBaraka.”

His remarks followed his comments on a viral controversy involving content creator Alma Mutheu and her boyfriend Gift Muziq.

Alma had suggested in an interview that she was financially supporting her partner. Terence weighed in, urging women not to shame men who are struggling financially but instead to support them until they find their footing.

A Message of Hope and Resilience

By sharing both his past struggles with addiction and his reflections on marriage, Terence underscored themes of resilience, loyalty, and growth.

His testimony has drawn admiration from fans who praised Milly for her patience and strength, calling her a “pillar” in his journey.

Today, Terence is celebrated as one of Kenya’s most successful comedians, a stark contrast to the struggles he once faced.

His story is not only a reminder of the power of personal choices but also an example of how unwavering support can change the trajectory of a person’s life.
