Kenyan socialite and businesswoman Vera Sidika has once again sparked conversation online after flaunting the kind of money she handles — just days after fans splashed her with cash during a nightclub appearance.
Vera, who has faced persistent rumours of being broke, seemed determined to silence her critics by offering a glimpse into her financial standing.
Fresh from a trip to Thailand, the mother of two was received in style with a convoy of luxury cars escorting her to the Nairobi nightclub where she was set to host.
Dressed in daring shorts and a see-through net outfit, she made a grand entrance that lived up to her decade-long reputation as the “queen of hosting.”
The night drew big spenders, with expensive bottles flowing and admirers showing their appreciation. At one point, a fan splashed her with bundles of KSh 1,000 notes, while her brother, Josh, collected the cash into a duffel bag.
“Jetlagged but energy is at one hundred. I brought all the ballers out,” Vera captioned, later hinting that she pocketed over KSh 300,000 from the event.
The M-Pesa Balance That Got Everyone Talking
Hours later, Vera shared another flex on social media — a screenshot of an M-Pesa message showing her brother had sent her KSh 5,000 “for lunch.”
While her caption praised Josh for spoiling her despite her not needing the money, sharp-eyed fans zoomed in on her account balance.
It revealed just over KSh 405,000, a detail many interpreted as her subtle way of shutting down financial downfall rumours.
This comes hot on the heels of her flashy new Range Rover purchase, recent international trips, and constant displays of luxury.
Responding to Designer and Car Hire Allegations
Weeks earlier, Vera had already clapped back at allegations that she wears fake designer outfits and hired her luxury car for show.
In a fiery Instagram story, she declared:
“I DON’T buy fake designers. Y’all already know that. I would rather wear Zara till I die.”
She explained that she regularly shares receipts from her shopping sprees at Gucci and Chanel, and even offered a $2000 reward to anyone who could prove she owned counterfeits.
Addressing claims her car was hired, Vera sarcastically broke down the maths:
“It’s now 12 days; 80k*12 = KSh 960,000 spent on car hire so far. Does that even make sense?”
Focused on Business
Beyond the drama, Vera stressed she is busy building her empire. She revealed her Thailand trip was part of a business venture, where she sourced products directly from suppliers in China.
Her parting shot was pure Sidika sass:
