William Ruto’s Camp Fires Back at Gachagua after His Explosive Interview: “Very Unfortunate”

A section of President William Ruto’s allies from Ukambani has strongly condemned former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of spreading falsehoods against the Kenya Kwanza administration. William Ruto’s allies called Rigathi Gachagua over his interview.  Led by UDA National Organising Secretary and Mwala MP Vincent Kawaya, the leaders described Gachagua’s recent remarks as misleading and disrespectful to a government he once served at the highest level. “It is unfortunate that a person who held the office of deputy president has resorted to propaganda and political noise instead of offering constructive engagement,” Kawaya said.

The leaders were speaking on Wednesday, August 27, at Kinyui Stadium during a boda boda empowerment drive. Ukambani politicians called out Rigathi Gachagua.  Did Ukambani leaders slam Gachagua over interview? They dismissed Gachagua’s assertions made during a Citizen TV interview on Tuesday, August 26, as baseless and meant to discredit President Ruto’s leadership. Nominated senator Tabitha Mutinda and Kangundo MP Fabian Kyule echoed Kawaya’s sentiments, urging Kenyans to ignore Gachagua’s remarks, terming him a political naysayer who has lost touch with the realities of governance. “Leaders should be focused on solutions, not peddling lies. Kenyans deserve truth and unity, not divisive rhetoric,” Senator Mutinda said. The Ukambani MPs maintained their full support for the head of state, insisting that his administration remains committed to delivering on its promises to Kenyans despite political distractions.
