Youtuber and content creator Mungai Eve has opened up about her career. In a Q&A session with fans on her Instagram page, she explained her reasons for no longer conducting interviews.
She also revealed her plans for a potential return to the format in the future.
Her decision comes after a public and professional split from her former partner, Director Trevor, who took control of their original YouTube channel.
The channel, previously known as “Mungai Eve,” was a major platform for celebrity interviews.

A Shift in Focus
When asked by a fan why she stopped doing interviews, Mungai Eve said her “old channel was known for that”. She explained that her focus has changed.
” After 5 years of the same routine, I finally got tired! I realized I had lost myself chasing the bag, chasing people’s dreams and not my own. I took some time off to rediscover Eve, to figure out what I truly love,” she said.
She has faced criticism in the past for her interviewing style. Some fans accused her of overshadowing her guests and being unprofessional. This feedback seems to have influenced her new direction.
After their split, Director Trevor rebranded their former channel to “Kenya Online Media”. Mungai Eve went on to launch her own new channel, “the new Mungai Eve”.
The Prospect of a Comeback
Despite moving in a new direction, the content creator said a return to interviews is not off the table. When a fan asked about her future plans, she said a comeback is possible.

“One thing’s for sure, I belong on the screens. The comeback is personal this time. Because life is so much more than burnouts and just making money,” Eve responded.
She revealed that her mindset about interviews has changed completely.
” Yes, once I’m fully set and stable and when I’m at a place where I feel like I’m doing it to get a story, not for money… my mindset has changed. When I go back to interviewing, it will be because I have a passion for it. It will have to be for my new channel, ‘the new Mungai Eve’ because my old channel was known for that,” she added.
Her comments suggest a focus on more purpose-driven content. She said that her new channel will continue to produce content that empowers people and celebrates diversity.
She concluded by asking views from her fans on what kind of content they want to see in her interviews.
“Once and for all guys!! Should I give lifestyle? Interviews on showbiz or what exactly! Help a guurl! My lifestyle is so interesting but I end up not posting idk how to go about it.”
