President Samia Suluhu’s administration announced plans to introduce an additional fee on air tickets to and from the country. What’s the new travel fee to Tanzania Foreigners, including Kenyans, travelling to and from Tanzania will pay an additional fee of $45 (KSh 5,814) for a one-way ticket and $90 (KSh 11,628) for a return ticket.
The Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) noted that the new fee will take effect on November 1, 2025. TCAA said the new fee under the VI tax code will vet foreigners moving in and out of the East African nation The announcement caught the attention of many Kenyans, who have shared mixed reactions online.
