Following closely is staying in touch with friends and family, which accounts for 60.2% of usage.
Keeping up to date with news and events, and watching videos, TV shows, or movies are also top reasons, at 55% and 54.7% respectively.
Other popular uses include researching how to do things, finding new ideas or inspiration, and accessing and listening to music.
The least popular reason among the top 10 is researching places, vacations, and travel, with only 38.9% of internet users listing it.
