Mum Puzzled after Sneaking into Young Son’s WhatsApp Chats with Female Classmate, Shares Screenshots

A curious parent, JJ Staphost, has admitted to crossing a boundary with her son, but she couldn’t be happier with her discovery. JJ Staphost was stunned by her son’s WhatsApp chats.  The TikTok user said she had always discouraged parents from checking their children’s phones, yet she made an exception this time. Was JJ Staphost proud of her son? She sneaked into her young son’s WhatsApp chats to see his conversation with a female friend. “In as much as I don’t encourage this, I’m so proud of him for knowing how much he can do,” she said. She also shared a screen recording of the conversation between her 12-year-old son and his new female friend. According to the screenshot, the chat took place in the afternoon, as seen in the timestamp.

What’s the name of Sanchez’s female friend? It was Staphost’s son who initiated the conversation, respectfully greeting his friend before introducing himself. He explained where he got her number, mentioning the person who had connected them. “My name is Sanchez, but my friends call me Chez,” he wrote smoothly as he engaged the girl. He asked her name, and the classmate replied, “My name is Amaka,” to which Sanchez responded, “Nice to meet you.” How did Amaka respond to Sanchez’s conditional clause? He quickly got to the point, telling Amaka why he had reached out. “I like you and I would like us to be friends,” he said directly, adding a humorous condition to their friendship:  “I hope you are not materialistic because I am a student and I live off my mum’s pocket.” Amaka responded with three laughing emojis before saying, “Ok. I am not oo.” Netizens react to 12-year-old’s WhatsApp chats

The screenshots went viral, with social media users flocking to the comment section to share their reactions. Ama🫧: “Trust me, that boy is a giver. He already has the mindset of giving but he just wants her to know she won’t be receiving much because he still depends on his mom. I love him for that.” Smartfashion: “I happened to check my son’s phone last year when he was 13 😂😂 My son even sent the girl a card. He would get money from me or his grandma, then buy a card and send it to her.” user3359496579849: “Madam, the brotherhood is proud of him. Upcoming legend.” jhannyfade: “I love his confidence, but what kind of material things can this girl request for? 😂 I guess she’s also a kid.” GIDEON DAVID 👑💦: “I wish I was him. I’m 23 and I have never in my life had the courage to ask a lady out. I’m always shy.” King-Dave93: “You have a male son, that’s victory number one. Secondly, he knows what he wants and how to go about it. God bless him.”
