Geoffrey Mosiria, the Nairobi County Chief Officer for Environment, has issued a public appeal via a video on his Facebook page, urging young girls to exercise caution regarding the content they post and consume on social media platforms like TikTok.
Mosiria’s impassioned remarks focused heavily on protecting impressionable youth from the influence of certain online creators, specifically naming TikToker and adult content creator Alicia Kanini.
In his address, Mosiria expressed deep concern over videos he described as “dirty” and “naked,” featuring individuals showing how God created them.

He highlighted an incident where a young girl, reportedly inspired by Kanini’s content, sought a job but had posted similar videos on her social media profile.
“I’ve seen a video of a girl by the name Alicia Kanini on social media just a few days ago. Then another girl texted me asking for a job, checking on her profile on TikTok, what she has posted is equally what Alicia Kanini is posting,” Mosiria said.
Mosiria recounted questioning the girl about the suitability of such content for the corporate world, to which she allegedly responded that she was inspired by Alicia because she has made it by posting such videos and earns money out of it.
This made Mosiria question the societal direction if young girls are increasingly drawn to easy money earned through exposing their bodies online.
“Then I’m asking myself, how many girls have been inspired to just post such dirty videos on social media naked, showing how God created them? Is this the world we want to live in?”

A significant portion of Mosiria’s appeal centered on the long-term ramifications of online content, stressing that the internet never forgets.
He painted a poignant picture of a future where today’s young creators, as parents or grandparents, might face their own children seeing these videos from their youth.
“What will you tell your kids as a father, a mother, or a grandfather when those videos come up again?” Mosiria questioned.
He urged young women to consider if they would advise their own children to post similar content, concluding that they would not.

Mosiria directly addressed Alicia Kanini, acknowledging her youth and perceived influence.
“You are uniting East Africa. You’re a young girl. You’re beautiful. You can get anything you want in this world. Even a good husband who is rich and a billionaire would marry you. But remember, your kids will one day see those videos of yours. What will you tell them? Will you advise them to go and also post such videos on social media? No, you won’t do that. So please, stop posting such videos on social media,” he urged.
Beyond the social media content, Mosiria also briefly touched upon environmental concerns, noting a prevalent flu and attributing it to polluted air.
He emphasized the importance of keeping the environment clean, planting trees, and encouraged young girls to lead in these efforts.
