The Mikindani Primary School has been thrown into mourning after a bus carrying pupils was involved in a grisly accident along the Taita Taveta-Mombasa Highway. Twelve pupils who were also inside the bus sustained injuries. According to a report from the school, 10 pupils sustained minor injuries while two others sustained serious injuries.
What caused Mikindani school bus accident? The pupils and teacher were being ferried in a bus belonging to Kajembe High School when it reportedly experienced a tyre burst before it lost control. The fatal incident that occurred in the Masai area happened when the teacher and pupils were coming from the music and drama competition at the Kenyatta School in Voi, Taita Taveta county. The Jomvu Member of Parliament, Badi Twalib, confirmed the incident, stating that the Mikindani Primary School pupils had just performed their piece when the deadly incident happened.
