Oscar Sudi Gives KSh 400k To Mum of Deceased Timba XO Employee: “Ntakujengea Nyumba”

Kapseret legislator Oscar Sudi has promised to help the mother of Dwayne Mungai, a Timba XO employee who recently died. Oscar Sudi promised to support the mother of a deceased Timba XO employee.How did Oscar Sudi help grieving mum? The club, worth over KSh 250 million, was in the spotlight after being vandalised during anti-government protests in June 2024. On Tuesday, January 28, the Eldoret nightclub announced that they had lost a staff member.  “It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of our dear colleague and friend, Dwayne Mungai, who passed away on 27th January 2025.” The club described Dwayne as a valued friend and colleague.

“Dwayne’s impact on our organisation and the lives he touched will never be forgotten. “Though the world may feel emptier without you here your spirit and kindness forever remain near. Your memory will always reside in our hearts, a legacy of love that time cannot hide.” Timba XO condoled with the deceased’s family and loved ones as they grieve his loss. During the burial, Sudi promised to build a home for Mungai’s grieving mother. “You will be my neighbour. I will build you a three-bedroom house so you can live well,” Sudi said amidst cheers. Sudi said that while Mungai died while still pretty young, he left the family with blessings. “I hope it will wipe away your tears.” However, Sudi was not done yet. “As the Timba XO patron I hear she was selling clothes but her business failed and depended on the son.”

Sudi then asked one of his aides for a wad of cash and handed KSh 400,000 to her. “Give me six months to finish the house for you,” he promised. TikTok users reacted to the video by saying: @Seyga: “RIP Dwayne. Sudi, may God bless you.” Isaac Wonder: “There is usually a lot of politics at funerals and money can easily cause trouble. You should have given it to her privately.” Meshy Amster: “God bless you, sir.” JNr: “We differ politically but I feel you are a nice person with good deeds. Ashika: “He said the same thing to Nuru Okanga.”
