Body of Nandi Nursing Student who Died in USA Arrives in Kenya for Burial

The body of a young lady who met her fate in the United States of America (USA) has been airlifted. Joan Jepngetich’s body arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, on Friday night, January 24, at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). Jepngetich’s burial plans are already underway as the family prepares to bury their kin in the coming days. When did Joan Jepngetich die? The grieving family congregated at the airport to emotionally receive the lifeless body of their loved one.

“The body of the late Joan Jepngetich, who died on Thursday, December 26, 2024, in a road accident in the USA, arrived in Kenya earlier today,” confirmed a post.  Jepngetich will be laid to rest at her home village in Chebarbar, Kapsabet Nandi county. She was a talented athlete and nursing student at Carl Sandburg College, a public community college with its main campus in Galesburg, Illinois. The family shared a picture as they interacted at the airport after successfully receiving the body of their kin.

They tried to be strong as they chatted in the emotional night, as seen in the photos. Another moving photo showed how Jepngetich’s body was wrapped while airlifted from the US to Kenya. Kenyans comfort Jepngetich’s family Social media users stood with the family as they consoled them in the comment section with kind messages. Zipporah Nyanchama, unfortunately, met her fate in the United States a year after relocating to the country. The woman left behind a four-year-old son and a family reeling in shock following her untimely demise. Friends, families and villagers could not hold back their emotions after her body arrived at home ahead of the burial.
