Source: Twitter The much-anticipated announcement, made by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba, was overshadowed by complaints of system congestion and inefficiencies, leaving many parents anxious about their children’s performance.
How are Kenyans getting KCSE results The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) provided instructions on how to access the results through its online portal, stressing the ease and convenience of the system. This was a shift from the SMS system that has for years been used by Kenyans to get results at a fee. However, the reality for many Kenyans proved different as the portal failed to handle the influx of users attempting to check the results. “The portal is not working. I’ve tried accessing it for the past few minutes. I don’t know why the government scrubbed off the sms code. I’m wondering what time we will receive my son’s marks,” a parent told TUKO.co.ke.
According to KNEC, candidates and parents were to visit the official KNEC Results Portal (https://results.knec.ac.ke/), input their 11-digit index numbers and registered names, and submit the information to view their results.
