Swiss socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein, better known as ‘Catwoman’ because of her surgically enhanced cat-like features, will be cremated and buried at her family’s ranch in Kenya, her longtime partner has said.

Ms Wildenstein, who made headlines in her lifetime for her extreme and extensive plastic surgeries, died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 84.

She died of a pulmonary embolism in a luxury hotel in Paris, he said.

Speaking to People after her death, her partner, Lloyd Klein, said she died while taking a nap.

“We had a nice happy hour the same night and we were getting ready for the new year, and we took a little nap just to look good before getting dressed,” he said. “When I woke up, I said, ‘Jocelyn, we have to wake up, we have to get dressed,’ and she was cold and she was dead.”

Following her death, Ms Wildenstein will be cremated and her remains shipped to her family ranch at the Ol Jogi Wildlife Conservancy. The ranch is among the many on the private conservancy in Nanyuki.

Mr Klein said it is where her father and mother’s ashes are also buried.
