Wafula Chebukati’s headache over repeat presidential election got worse on Wednesday after the Jubilee Party rejected nine individuals the IEBC chairman had appointed to deliver the poll.
In a letter to the IEBC boss, Head of Jubilee party Secretariat Raphael Tuju accuses the nine officials of being partisan.
“After publication of the names of your election project team, we have received credible information that in the list are people known to be partisan,” the letter, date September 6, reads in part.
The officials accused of bias are Marjan Hussein Marjan, who was appointed the project coordinator, Salome Oyugi, Decimah Mmayi, Chrispine Owiye and Joseph Ayatta.
Others are Joyce Ekuam, Tabitha Mutei, Lius Onyango and Carolyne Manyange.
Mr Hussein headed the team at the Bomas of Kenya that received the Forms 34B from the constituencies before their validation.
