Kenyans react after Millicent Omanga unveils luxurious SUV

Former nominated Senator Millicent Omanga

Former nominated Senator Millicent Omanga has stirred a storm on social media after displaying a brand-new Range Rover she said is her latest acquisition.

Omanga posted photos of the new ride on X at an undisclosed location while thanking God for the accomplishment.

“My new baby. Date of Birth, 2024. Ni God,” she wrote in the caption.

The post sparked a flurry of reactions from X users, ranging from admiration to criticism.

Some saw Omanga’s display of the expensive vehicle as a testament to her hard work and success, something that earned her praises from most users who even congratulated her.

“Wow. Mami keep winning. Mama Miradi. That baby is super. Give a ride mami,” said Geoffrey Moturi.

“Awesome! Congratulations.  Show me your ways,” quipped Lawrence Kitema.

“People will say Millicent Omanga bought this Range River with unclean money. Always against the progress,” Julie added.

“Kidogo kidogo upate kuna mtu anaonea Millicent Omanga wivu juu ya chombo. She manifested and the universe delivered,” Henry Kabogo averred.

Those critical of Omanga’s show of oppulance were also plenty.

Some appeared unimpressed and cast aspersions on her ability to own such a luxurious vehicle.

“Millicent Omanga alitoa wapi pesa ya kununua gari with zero mileage?” Allan Obare wrote.

“How much will you pay as tax per year for this guzzler if the proposed financial bill becomes a law? Samwel Wekesa posed.

“Mind you she’s got another model. Seems we’ve got many different Gods in this world,” added another user.

“Millicent Omanga alipata pesa ya CAS akanunua nayo Range,” Barrack Gumba said.

Omanga was among those appointment as a Chief Administrative Secretaries before court declared the positions unconstitutional.

She had been assigned the Interior docket.

MPs have, however, mooted a new plan to have the CAS positions anchored in law under a bill recently passed by Parliament.
