Two people have been confirmed dead and eight others injured following a grisly accident along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway. Citizen Digital reported that the night accident on Monday, May 27, involved a 14-seater matatu, a Probox, and a trailer. The accident occurred in the Sobea area, Salgaa, after the matatu collided head-on with the trailer heading to Eldoret. Eyewitnesses said the accident occurred after the trailer tried to avoid hitting a Probox that was overtaking using the wrong lane, leading to the collision with the matatu from Nanaki Sacco. The injured persons were rushed to Nakuru Level Five Hospital for treatment as police continued with investigations into the crash. Photos shared from the accident scene showed the harrowing magnitude of the accident, as the matatu was severely damaged.
