Esther Musila’s Daughter Shares Clubbing Memory

Do your parents know you turn up, let alone accompany you to a night out? If your answer is no, brace yourself for this heartwarming story as Esther Musila’s daughter, Gilda Naibei, reminisces about tagging her mom along for a girls’ night out with friends.

Speaking during an episode on her YouTube channel, where she hosted her mom as a guest, Naibei gushed over their unique bond, describing it as more than just a mother-daughter relationship – they are also friends with an open and cordial connection.

Highlighting how wholesome their relationship is, the 30-year-old recalled inviting her mom to join her on a night out, to which the 54-year-old businesswoman and budding musician agreed.

“You are really my friend,” Naibei began, adding, “You remember I literally took you one night with us.”

Explaining the experience, she narrated, “I think it was on your birthday… guys, I took my mum to the club! We used to club together.”

Naibei noted that having her mom join her and her friends in their merrymaking was a highlight, as it allowed her mom to see their activities firsthand – how they handled their liquor and themselves.

“What I liked about it was that you wanted to see what we were doing,” Naibei shared. “And you could see we were good. We took care of ourselves; we were not drinking cheap liquor. Even though I don’t drink anymore, thank God.”

Blushing with joy, Esther listened as her daughter relived those moments. Curious, Esther asked if her daughter ever found the experience odd.

“I allowed myself to be in your shoes. We have grown up together. Your generation’s things are crazy; it’s not like how you guys used to party,” Naibei explained.

In a previous session on her channel, Naibei revealed her fears about starting a family at her age, still feeling like a child herself. Esther, now a mother of three, reflected on her life at 30.

“I think things have changed. It’s been 24 years – a whole two decades. What was a priority for me then is probably not for you now,” Esther remarked.

She shared her experience of getting pregnant at 19, unplanned. “I used to say I’d get married at 26, hoping to have a good job and be stable. The 90s were different. I can’t say I planned to get married; it just happened.”

Esther recalled her mother discovering her pregnancy, saying, “She looked at my skin tone and thought I was a little lighter than usual.”

Today, Esther is blessed with three children – Gilda Naibei, Glenn Naibei (Jamal), and Ki. She is currently married to gospel artist Guardian Angel, though the two do not have children together.
