What headteachers want: Discussions from ongoing annual conference

Secondary school heads want the government to pay all the capitation balances dating back to the 2021/2022 financial year.

Kenya Secondary School Heads Association chairman Indimuli Kahi yesterday said currently, the government owes schools at least Sh9,000 per student being balances from the 2020/2021 fiscal year.

“The Sh22,244 capitation for each student has not been forthcoming in full. Like the 2020/2021 year still has a balance, which is desperately needed. We have been getting about Sh17,000 per student. “Now the government owes us almost Sh9,000 per student,”Kahi said.   BY  THE STAR
