US-based Kenyan registered nurse and digital content creator Nurse Judy has shared an emotional roadside video after law enforcement impounded her vehicle over expired registration tags and unresolved citations.
Filming herself stranded near a parking lot just down the street from a local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office, the content creator delivered a tearful account of her predicament.
The incident unfolded after officers pulled her over, noting that her car tags had remained expired alongside outstanding tickets that went unaddressed for more than six months.
Police Cite Fair Compliance Standards
In the clip posted online, the impounding officer explained that law enforcement could not grant exceptions, citing similar infractions handled earlier that day.
“This will be the third time today. Today it’ll be for the same violation for people not paying their registration for over six months,” the officer told her.
“I can’t start showing bias one way or another, impounding their cars and not impounding yours regardless of the situation.”
The explanation offered little immediate comfort to the nurse, who found herself stuck by the roadside shortly after leaving her residence for a routine outing.
“Nimeachwa nikikaa kama homeless kwa roadside,” she lamented, describing her sudden predicament.

A Heavy Financial Settlement
To resolve the situation, Nurse Judy had to part with $2,257 (approximately Ksh. 292,000) on the spot to clear the accumulated fines, outstanding citations, and towing fees required to secure the vehicle’s release.
The heavy financial hit added further distress during an already difficult period for the content creator.
“Please, Satan, release me; you have done enough press-ups in my life,” she joked emotionally.
“America ata kama ni character development aki, niache sasa.”

The financial loss added further distress during an already difficult week for the content creator, who noted that she had experienced an overwhelming run of personal challenges.
Frustrated by the sudden setback, she joked about her ongoing difficulties living abroad, appealing for a break from what she termed harsh life lessons. Despite paying the hefty sum, she still faced additional administrative hurdles to finalize her vehicle’s paperwork and clear the impound lot.
