Kenyan content creator Kelvin Kinuthia has taken to social media to reflect on his rapid rise to prominence. On Monday, 7 September 2026, the influencer shared a video of himself from five years ago. The footage showed him cleaning a modest one-bedroom house.

The throwback video prompted Kinuthia to pause and consider the stark contrast between his past and his present life. Today, he regularly showcases luxurious mansions and relocates between high-end properties.

In 2021, Kinuthia lived a quiet life before his digital career fully transformed his circumstances. He did not possess the financial resources or public recognition he enjoys today.

He became highly popular for his unique style, which involves cross-dressing. Kinuthia frequently performs in makeup, wigs, and women’s fashion, creating beloved comedic characters such as “Mama Shiko”.

Statistics highlight his massive digital footprint. He has amassed over 1.5 million followers on TikTok. His videos have accumulated more than 63 million likes.
