A simple request from three-year-old Africanah Rapudo has turned into an elaborate project after her mother, Amber Ray, unveiled a playhouse fitted with features normally associated with a real home.
Kenyan Socialite Amber Ray shared a video of the finished space on Instagram, giving her followers a look at the structure and explaining how she decided to personalize it for her daughter.
It started with one request
According to Amber Ray, Africanah simply told her that she wanted a playhouse.
The socialite admitted she went beyond the basics because, as she put it, her daughter’s mother is “EXTRA.”
“My daughter said, ‘Mummy, I want a playhouse.’ Unfortunately for my bank account, her mother is EXTRA,” Amber wrote.

It has its own AC and fridge
Amber said she considered the heat in Syokimau when planning the space. She therefore had an air conditioner installed and added a mini fridge stocked with drinks and snacks.
With the rainy season approaching, she also decided the playhouse needed a fireplace.
“At this point it’s not a playhouse, it’s a fully furnished tiny home with landscaping and a kitchen garden,” she joked.
Fans compare it to their homes
The video quickly attracted humorous reactions from Instagram users, with some comparing Africanah’s playhouse with the homes of adults.
@theemwalimurachel joked :“Mnajua hii ni bedsitter ya 30K South B nyinyi? That girl is blessed! well done mama!”
@simply._cyn wrote that Africanah’s setup had left them feeling pressured, saying they were still living with their parents while the three-year-old had her own fireplace.
A different follower joked about applying for a job as Africanah’s nanny.
‘Have kids when you have money’
The comments also turned towards the cost of raising children.
@cudbury_zoly:“Another reminder…have kids when you have money ooouufff.”
Others were less concerned about the spending and simply admired the finished structure.
One follower wrote, “Anything for the princess,” while another said the space looked like something from a film.
Africanah’s life in the spotlight
The playhouse is the latest glimpse into Africanah’s childhood shared by her parents.
Amber and businessman Kennedy Rapudo have previously attracted attention for their daughter’s birthday celebrations and personalized spaces.

In January 2025, Amber showed Africanah’s bedroom, which featured a large bed, television, sink and customized drawers shaped like the African continent.
Her first birthday was also marked by an elaborate celebration featuring themed decorations and entertainment.
A playhouse with a difference
For Amber, the project appears to have been about fulfilling her daughter’s request in her own style.
But with an AC, mini fridge, fireplace, flowers and a kitchen garden, the little girl’s playhouse has inevitably become more than somewhere to play.
For social media users, it has also become another window into the lifestyle Africanah is growing up in.
