Amber Ray: I Still Miss Syokimau Estate Linked to Past Feud With Amira

Kenyan socialite Amber Ray has taken her followers down memory lane after sharing a nostalgic message about a Syokimau estate where she once lived during one of the most publicised chapters of her life.

In an Instagram Stories post, Amber said she sometimes misses the estate despite the drama it involves.

“Apart from the drama… sometimes I miss this estate 🥰.”

The message has revived memories of the highly publicised conflict between Amber and Amira, the former wife of businessman Jamal ‘Roho Safi’ Marlow.

Syokimau became the centre of the drama.

Amber previously lived in the same Syokimau estate as Amira while she was romantically involved with Jamal.
Their relationship became public in 2021, with Jamal acknowledging Amber as his second wife. At the time, he said he and Amira were living in the same estate while his relationship with Amber developed.
The situation eventually spilled into public confrontations.
In June 2021, Amber and Amira confronted each other in Syokimau, with the incident being captured during an Instagram Live session. The confrontation attracted neighbours and became a major talking point on social media.
Amira later criticised Amber after she attempted to interact with her son during a visit to Syokimau, further adding to tensions between the two women.

Amber eventually left the estate.

Following the fallout, Amber moved out of the Syokimau home.
Jamal had previously said he had bought Amber another house in Hurlingham, while reports at the time noted that she was planning to leave Syokimau in search of peace.
Amber and Jamal’s relationship eventually ended. In July 2021, she confirmed during an Instagram question-and-answer session that they were no longer together.
Asked whether she regretted fighting for the relationship, Amber responded that she was “fighting for me” rather than simply fighting for Jamal.

A different chapter now

Years later, the Syokimau estate remains closely associated with that period of Amber’s life, even as the people involved have moved on.
Amber is now married to businessman Kennedy Rapudo, with whom she has a daughter. Amira has also established a life away from her former marriage to Jamal and has previously showcased her new home after leaving the Syokimau residence.
