The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened the application portal for the September 2026 intake at Ronald Ngala Utalii College in Kilifi County.
The placement agency has urged eligible students interested in pursuing careers in hospitality and tourism to submit their applications through the KUCCPS student portal by August 23, 2026.
In a notice on Wednesday, KUCCPS said the latest intake offers students an opportunity to enrol in 13 diploma and certificate programmes at the Kilifi campus.
“Ready to pursue a career in hospitality and tourism? Application for Ronald Ngala Utalii College programmes for the September 2026 intake is now open. Apply via the KUCCPS portal before August 23, 2026,” KUCCPS said.
Seven diploma programmes and six certificate courses are available under the September intake.
The diploma programmes are Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Front Office Operations, Food and Beverage Management, Housekeeping and Laundry Management, Travel and Tourism Management, and Tour Guiding and Administration.
The certificate programmes are Travel and Tour Operations, Tour Guiding and Administration, Housekeeping and Laundry Operations, Food and Beverage Service and Sales, Pastry and Bakery, and Front Office Operations.
Applicants seeking admission to diploma programmes must have attained a minimum KCSE mean grade of C plain, together with the required subject combination and grades for respective courses.
Those seeking certificate programmes must have attained a minimum KCSE mean grade of C- (minus).
The opening of the portal provides prospective students with an opportunity to pursue specialised training in the hospitality and tourism sector through the centralised KUCCPS placement system.
Kenya Utalii College is a specialised institution under the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife and has traditionally provided professional training for the hospitality and tourism industry.
The latest intake follows a similar admission exercise in March, when KUCCPS opened applications for 13 diploma and certificate programmes at the college.
The March exercise marked the first time Kenya Utalii College was incorporated into the KUCCPS central placement system, expanding the range of specialised training opportunities available to students through the placement agency.
Previously, students applied directly to the college.
The move also brought the college’s programmes into the same centralised application framework used to facilitate placement to various universities, colleges and other institutions.
Kenya Utalii College was established 47 years ago and has trained more than 60,000 graduates over the years.
Its alumni have gone on to work in Kenya’s hospitality and tourism industry as well as international markets, making the college one of the country’s established institutions for professional training in the sector.
Prospective applicants have been advised to check the KUCCPS student portal for the application requirements and submit their applications before the August 23 deadline.
