Obinna has said that if he and singer Miss P ever decide to pursue a romantic relationship, he would prefer to keep it out of the public eye.
Speaking during a recent interview, Obinna explained that he is not a fan of publicising relationships on social media, arguing that online attention often brings unnecessary pressure and outside opinions.
“If at all anything will happen between Miss P and me, I would like it to be private.”
His remarks come amid ongoing speculation from fans about the nature of his relationship with the Kenyan singer.
The pair have frequently sparked online discussion, with supporters questioning whether their interactions suggest more than friendship.
‘I don’t like social media relationships’
Obinna stressed that any future relationship would be handled away from public platforms.
“If at all we will be interested in pursuing each other officially, I would like it to be private.”
He added that social media often changes the dynamics of a relationship by creating expectations from followers and inviting opinions from people who are not directly involved.
“Mi sipendi mapenzi ya mtandao because ikisha kuwa kwa mtandao, now there are expectations. There are external forces and parties, opinions from everybody.”
According to Obinna, those external influences can place unnecessary strain on a relationship that should instead develop naturally between the people involved.

Keeping personal matters personal
Obinna’s comments reflect a growing trend among public figures who choose to separate their personal lives from their online presence.
While social media allows celebrities to connect directly with fans, it also exposes their relationships to constant public scrutiny.
For many public personalities, maintaining privacy has become increasingly difficult as online audiences expect regular updates about their favourite celebrities.
However, the media personality made it clear that should a relationship ever develop, it would remain between the two of them rather than becoming a public spectacle.
“If at all it would happen, I would like it to be private.”
His comments neither confirmed nor denied that he and Miss P are romantically involved. Instead, they underscored his belief that meaningful relationships are more likely to succeed when they are allowed to grow away from the spotlight and without the pressure of public expectations.
