No arrests had been reported by Thursday as investigations continued, police said.

According to police, the man’s wife returned home after visiting her sister-in-law in the Bomwanda area. She found the door to their house wide open and, upon entering the bedroom, found her husband lying on his back on the bed.
She tried to wake him but realised he was unresponsive and alerted the authorities.
Police visited the scene and said the deceased had no visible physical injuries or signs of a struggle.
Police said the exact time of death remains unknown because the man had been alone in the house when he died.
The body was moved to Nyangena Private Hospital Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to establish the cause of death.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing, police said.
