Paris Saint-Germain vs Arsenal
(Puskas Arena, Saturday 7 pm)
Ligue 1 champions PSG meet Premier League champions Arsenal in the ultimate test of continental supremacy, the UEFA Champions League final, where domestic dominance is no longer enough and only European ruthlessness survives.
Both sides arrive with league crowns already secured, but this is a different currency altogether; this is about nights that define eras.
PSG carry the sharpest attacking edge in the competition, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia pulling strings in the final third, Ousmane Dembele stretching lines with his pace and unpredictability and Vitor Ferreira (Vitinha) adding the technical glue that keeps everything ticking.
Yet for all their flair, they meet an Arsenal side built on structure, discipline and an almost stubborn defensive organisation that has become their trademark in Europe. The real chess match, though, lies in midfield.
Luis Enrique will look to Joao Neves and Vitinha to control the rhythm, resist Arsenal’s press and dictate where the game is played.
Arsenal, in turn, will lean heavily on their captain, Martin Odegaard, the conductor whose ability to escape pressure and turn transitions into threat could decide whether the Gunners impose themselves or chase shadows.
There is also the weight of history hovering over Arsenal. They stand on the brink of becoming only the third English side to lift European honours this season, following continental success elsewhere from English clubs across UEFA competitions, where Aston Villa claimed the UEFA Europa title and Crystal Palace sealed the UEFA Conference League crown. But PSG are not here to participate in a narrative. They walk in as the defending European champions, chasing a rare and brutal achievement: back-to-back Champions League titles, a feat only Real Madrid have managed in the modern era.
Prediction: PSG 2–1 Arsenal
Gor Mahia vs Nairobi United
[Nyayo National Stadium, Sunday 3 pm)
The curtain falls on a gripping 2025/26 SportPesa Premier League season, and it does so in familiar green-and-white celebration.
Record 22-time champions Gor Mahia have already wrapped up the title with games to spare, turning this final fixture into a ceremonial walk to the trophy.
But Nairobi United, the league’s bold debutants, arrive with no intention of playing supporting roles. They have already shown they can disrupt the order by famously edging Gor Mahia 2–1 in the FKF Cup final last year. Their league meeting at Dandora was even more dramatic, abandoned amid crowd tension with the score at 1–1, a result later upheld by the authorities as final. Nairobi United come into this one searching for rhythm, winless in their last three league outings, their most recent result a goalless draw against Kenya Police. Gor Mahia, meanwhile, are finishing like champions, currently on a six-game unbeaten run, their last League assignment a barren draw against Mara Sugar on Wednesday. With the trophy presentation set for immediately after the final whistle at Nyayo, expect a performance shaped not just by tactics, but by pride in front of the Green Army.
Prediction: Gor Mahia 2–0 Nairobi United
Shabana FC vs KCB FC
(Gusii Stadium, Sunday 3 pm)
Fourth-placed Shabana host seventh-placed KCB in a fixture that may lack title implications but carries its own intensity, fuelled by one of the most vocal home atmospheres in the league. Gusii Stadium remains a fortress of noise and pressure, a place where visiting teams rarely settle into rhythm easily. That psychological edge could prove decisive once again.
Shabana come into the clash looking to finish strongly after a 1–1 draw against already-relegated Sofapaka, a result that felt more like a missed opportunity than a point gained. KCB, however, arrive with a slight spring in their step after a 2–1 away win over Sofapaka. The last league meeting between these two belonged to Shabana, who sealed a convincing 3–1 win.
Prediction: Shabana 2–1 KCB
