Rapudo Addresses Amber Ray’s Dressing and Club Hosting Career After Critics’ Attacks

Businessman Kennedy Rapudo has publicly defended his partner, Amber Ray, following criticism over her dressing and work as a club host.

Speaking in an interview with radio presenter Alex Mwakideu, Rapudo made it clear that he does not seek to control her personal choices.

“I’m not there to change her,” he said.

Recognising club hosting as work

Rapudo described club hosting as a legitimate profession within Kenya’s entertainment scene. He noted that the role goes beyond appearances, involving brand promotion, audience engagement, and maintaining a strong public presence.

“She was already successful before we met,” he said.

Calling out double standards

The businessman also pointed to what he described as unequal treatment between local and international celebrities.

“The same dressing is praised abroad but criticised here,” he said.

Rapudo also addressed reports claiming Amber has earned over KSh 40 million. While not disputing her success, he emphasised his role as a provider within their blended family.

“I pay 100 percent of the school fees,” he said.

He explained that this includes all four children in their household, including his stepson, adding that he does not believe in treating children differently.
