Classic 105 radio presenter Maina Kageni has revealed that he recently bought a brand new 2026 Range Rover Vogue worth an estimated KSh 50 million.
The revelation came during a lively segment on The Drive show on Hot 96 FM, hosted by Jeff Koinange and Jalang’o Igunza.
Speaking candidly on air, Maina shared his motivation behind the luxury purchase, leaving both hosts and listeners amused and intrigued.
A spontaneous decision
Maina described the purchase as a spur-of-the-moment decision, driven purely by desire rather than necessity.
“I woke up craving for it, and that’s it,” he said.
He added a philosophical touch to the conversation, explaining his outlook on life and spending.
“You only live once, but when you do it right, once is enough.”
Online reactions
Listeners quickly took to social media to react to the news, with many expressing admiration — and a bit of humour — over Maina’s latest purchase.
“Not less than 50M for sure! 😂” — Karis
“Hawa sasa ndio big boyz bazuu” — Suzzie
“Maina is the final boss 😂” — Peter
“I’ll drive it to work… and golf”
During the conversation, Jeff questioned Maina about his driving habits, nothing that he is not known to drive often.
Maina, however, brushed off the concern with humour and confidence.
“I will use it to drive to work, go for lunch and go to play golf.” His response reflected a relaxed lifestyle, one often associated with Kenya’s top media personalities.

Life at the top of Kenyan radio
Maina remains one of the most influential voices on Kenyan radio, with a career spanning over two decades. His long-running breakfast show on Classic 105 has consistently ranked among the most listened to in the country, making him a household name.
In recent years, he has maintained a low-key but affluent lifestyle, occasionally giving glimpses of his success.
Beyond the newly acquired Range Rover Vogue, Maina also owns a 2024 BMW X6 M Sport — further cementing his taste for high-end, performance-driven vehicles.
