Fusion Capital backs Rhino Charge 2026 in push for sustainable growth

The investment and real estate development firm will sponsor Car No. 23 during the annual off-road fundraising challenge set to take place between May 29 and 31 in Samburu County under the theme, “Adventure, Community, Conservation.”

Rhino Charge is one of Kenya’s most prominent conservation fundraising events, bringing together corporates, conservationists, and adventure enthusiasts to support the Rhino Ark Kenya Charitable Trust.

The initiative raises funds for the protection of Kenya’s critical mountain ecosystems and water towers, which play a key role in biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods.

Since its inception, Rhino Charge has raised more than Sh2.6 billion towards conservation efforts across the country.

Through the initiative, Rhino Ark has constructed more than 650 kilometres of electric fencing to reduce human-wildlife conflict while protecting fragile ecosystems and neighbouring communities.

More than 80,000 families continue to benefit from the conservation programme, which supports the protection of key ecosystems including the Aberdares, Mt Kenya, and the Mau Forest Complex.

These forests provide vital ecological services estimated to contribute about Sh412 billion annually to Kenya’s economy through water security, agriculture, energy production, and climate resilience.

Fusion Capital Group CEO Daniel Kamau said the company’s support for Rhino Charge aligns with its broader vision of building resilient communities and investing in sustainable growth across Africa.

“At Fusion Capital, we believe that true development goes beyond infrastructure and real estate investment. It also means protecting the natural ecosystems that sustain communities, livelihoods, and future generations,” he said.

“As a company rooted in the African growth story, environmental conservation is not simply a corporate initiative for us; it is a responsibility.”

“Rhino Charge presents a powerful platform where adventure, community, and conservation come together to create lasting impact.”

Founded in 2006, Fusion Capital has grown into a leading investment and real estate development firm with interests spanning real estate development, private equity, and investment management.

The company says it continues to integrate sustainability into its projects through environmentally conscious designs, efficient resource utilisation, and long-term community-focused investment strategies.

Beyond business, Fusion Capital supports initiatives focused on social impact, youth empowerment, and sustainable community transformation, reflecting its belief that economic growth must go hand in hand with environmental stewardship and responsible development.

Through its participation in Rhino Charge 2026, the company aims to contribute to national conservation efforts while supporting initiatives designed to protect Kenya’s forests, biodiversity, and water catchment ecosystems for future generations.

Fusion Capital added that partnerships between the private sector, conservation organisations, and local communities remain critical in safeguarding Kenya’s natural heritage amid growing climate change and environmental degradation challenges.
