Gachagua to lead voter registration drive message as DCP rolls out Kiambu candidate

Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua is on Monday set to address the voter registration drive and other topical issues in a televised engagement, as his party continues to roll out candidates ahead of the 2027 polls.

In a programme released by the party, the former Deputy President will later preside over the unveiling of John Mwaura Kogi as DCP’s gubernatorial candidate for Kiambu County.

The unveiling ceremony will be held at the party’s headquarters in Nairobi.

Gachagua has in recent weeks stepped up political activities in parts of Central Kenya and Nairobi, where he has criticised the government on the cost of living and called for increased voter registration, urging young people to take part in the electoral process.

DCP has also been announcing and positioning candidates in various regions as it seeks to consolidate its support base.
