The atmosphere at the Salvation Healing Ministry took an unexpected turn during Sunday’s service.
Prophet Victor Kanyari, the controversial leader of the ministry, surprised his protégé, Marion Naipei, with a lavish display of appreciation. The event unfolded on the church altar, catching both the congregation and Naipei off guard.
The Song that Started it All
The surprise was a direct response to a gesture from Naipei. According to Kanyari, the young woman had previously performed a surprise song for him.
The Prophet noted that he felt compelled to return the favour in a public setting.
Taking to social media to explain the moment, Kanyari shared a message for Naipei. He stated that because she had surprised him with a song, he couldn’t fail to appreciate it.
He presented her with a bouquet of flowers as a belated Valentine’s Day gift.
“Take this flowers and glow as loud as their scent… Happy belated Valentine’s Day to you Marion Naipei,” Kanyari captioned the pictures of him presenting bouquet of flowers to her.
A New Phone and Emotional Gratitude
The flowers were not the only gift of the day. Kanyari also presented Naipei with a brand-new mobile phone. The exchange on the altar was captured on video, showing an emotional Naipei holding the device.
Naipei expressed her shock and gratitude to the Prophet, whom she refers to as “Daddy.” She revealed that the gift came before she had even received any formal payment or pay for her work.
The gesture clearly moved her, as she spoke about the significance of being remembered during the Valentine’s season.
“I’m so grateful, before these flowers, daddy bought me a phone. He promised and here it is. No one has remembered me except daddy, and this is true love. Daddy, God bless you,” Marion Naipei said.
